Favorite Plants
Maybe you’re a gardening hobbyist, or maybe you’re just a real novice. Either way, a mini greenhouse is a terrific tool for growing plants all year long. The chilly winters can take a real toll on plants grown outside in most states. Leaving them to the winter elements could eventually lead to a lot of hard work being destroyed. Why leave your plantingsat risk when they can be house securely in a natural environment? The only things left to know is how they work and how to choose the right one.
A Mini greenhouse works in the same manner that a full scale greenhouse works. Both offer shelter from the elements and help to stimulate growth. They are principally made either out of glass or plastic. Although both work in the same manner, they do not always look the same. The plastic variety really looks like a plastic bag that closes with a zipper. The plants sit on plastic or metal shelves and are enclosed in the plastic. The ones made of glass are similar in structure, but appear to be more solid as the outside is not pliable. Depending on the size, they can be used indoors, outdoors, or are portable. Some are created exclusively for indoor use as they come with plug-in heating pads, while others are stationary outdoor structures. Many are stackable, meaning that they contain rows of shelves to house plants. The basic idea behind them is to house multiple plants in an contained space.
Knowing which Mini greenhouse is best for you will depend primarily the number of plants that need to be protected and your plants environment. If you live in an smaller apartment or home and own many plants, you may need to have several indoor greenhouses. Landowners may be better off buying one of the larger models. Novices, regardless of where they live, may want to purchase the smallest one because they only have one plant. Examine your needs before considering a product.
Comparing a plastic mini greenhouse to a glass one is really a matter of how you intend to use it. Plastic is somewhat sturdy, but it is not impervious to tears. Glass may be the choice of a long term gardener, but repairs and accidents are likely to be more serious. Most of the larger structures are intended to be used for a longer period of time, so they are frequently made from glass. Ones made from plastic are more easily broken down. If you plan on moving in the near future, it is probably a good idea to take that into consideration.
Ask any gardener how important it is to protect their plants from the elements and you will likely get the same answer. Gardening can be an investment, or a hobby or just plain therapeutic. No matter why you do it, you should use all the tools you have available to protect your plants. A mini greenhouse is just one of many tools that you can use to keep your plants both safe and healthy. The rest relies on the amount of time and dedication you are willing to put forth into their cultivation.
If you love gardening especially during the start of spring, then flowers are probably your favorite as well. Many people plant different soft smelling flowers. My favorite is lavender because it has always made me feel more relaxed and fall asleep a little bit easier and a little bit faster. Sometimes other varieties are preferred to change up the colors, of course.
This year, I will be planting some houseplants which will improve indoor quality. I will be planting these household plants because most of them do not require sunlight and regular watering. I have ideas where to be putting these plants already. I cannot wait for spring to come. I would like to put aloe vera near my kitchen window where it could receive subtle sunlight. I am excited to plant gerber daisy. I love the somehow strong color which will add color to the living room as well as the dining table too. I will also pout some in the laundry area because different laundry chemicals in there and it will be very bad in the long run that those will get stuck in our system. I found out that snake plant can be used in the bathroom because it some not require much sunlight and at the same time it thrives with steamy humid conditions. Spring being a perfect time to plant, and I am now considering planting citronella which is the best mosquito repellant. This plant will also add a nice scent to the whole yard as well.
There is another plant that I would like to plant and this is going to the garage because I found out that it will clean the air from formaldehyde which mainly comes the exhaust of a car. The best thing here according to what I read is, it does not require too much sunlight and what is more amazing is, its color will stay green even when kept in the dark. Is it amazing! With gerber daisy, I would also like to plant chrysanthemum. The color of this flower is softer compared to gerber daisy. I could now imagine the beautiful color of the living room as well as the dining table.
